About Nancy

I help local government leadership teams develop the conditions for stronger workplaces, better relationships, and more thoughtful civic leadership.

HISTORY

For 40 years, Nancy has worked with public sector organizations to create workplaces that value human engagement, build strong community connections and help leadership teams excel.

My early ideas were forged from an undergraduate education in Dance Therapy and Psychology, and a graduate education in Labor, Management, and Organization Development. The attention to people, movement, systems and the conditions that allow all three to thrive is still with me.

My client philosophy is that we begin with ideas. We look at structures and conditions in place, what needs to be done and where the organization is ready to go. We bring together resources, people and strategies. We don’t give up, we celebrate our successes.

Civic engagement is deeply connected to curiosity about the perspectives, stories and experiences of others. For this reason, executive leadership team development and learning crosses over into community building. This is where the shift begins.

Participation is the apex of organization and community life. We model it to cultivate healthy systems and environments.

What is Possible…

What becomes possible when an organization understands itself clearly? We look at the work, the people doing it, and the conditions that shape both. Then we build something better.
